Track every container, step by step, from port to final warehouse
Surestaria turns your smartphone into a port check-in tool. Configurable workflows, automatic timestamping, free time overrun alerts — for Matadi, Luanda, Douala, Abidjan, Pointe-Noire and all African ports.
A container lost from sight means demurrage piling up, a worried client, and evaporating margin. Surestaria was designed so that no container falls off the radar, even on African port terminals with limited network infrastructure.
How does real-time tracking work?
1. QR code generation per container
As soon as the dossier is created in Surestaria, each container receives a unique QR code. You print it, stick it on the container sheet or slip, and it becomes the scannable identifier.
2. Configurable workflow per operation
You define the steps specific to your activity: Vessel arrival, Discharge, Yard placement, OCC inspection, OGEFREM inspection, DGDA release, Port exit, Client delivery. Each forwarder configures their own workflow.
3. Mobile field scanning
Your operators scan the QR with the Surestaria mobile app. The step is validated, time-stamped, geolocated. A photo can be added as proof.
4. Real-time cloud sync
The check-in goes up instantly to the office. The office manager in Kinshasa sees in real time what happens in Matadi, without phone calls.
5. Guaranteed offline mode
If the operator scans in a no-network area, the check-in is cached locally. As soon as connection returns, sync is automatic. No data lost.
Smart alerts
- Free time overrun: alert at D-2 and D-day to anticipate demurrage
- Container with no movement: alert if no check-in for X days
- Skipped step: detection of workflow inconsistencies
- Missing document: alert if a required supporting document is not uploaded
Real-time dashboards
- Number of containers in transit, in port, delivered
- Containers at risk of demurrage (D-2 of free time)
- Containers in active demurrage with cumulative cost
- Team performance: number of scans, average time per step
Use case: complete dossier at Matadi
- The MSC vessel arrives at Matadi with 12 containers for your client
- You create the dossier in Surestaria, import container numbers, print QR codes
- Your operator scans each container at Vessel arrival at port
- The system computes free time per shipping line and alerts at D-2
- Check-in at OCC inspection, OGEFREM, DGDA release
- If overrun, automatic billable demurrage is calculated
- Final check-in at client warehouse delivery
- Dossier closes with full report: total duration, steps, costs, margin
Compared to classic solutions
Where international logistics ERPs cost 50,000 USD to deploy and require an IT team, Surestaria:
- Deploys in a few days with our team
- Requires no specialized hardware (mainstream smartphones suffice)
- Costs 10x less
- Works in native offline mode
